I just thought I might add one thing about this dementia thing. That is that often I know, exactly, what I want to say but am incapable of actually saying the word. The word, for instance, took me two weeks to train myself to say. Now, when I want to say it, bit cannot, I say the word "demen" and "che" out loud and I can then say the name. I have a couple of those. This is not memory loss - its something else. You know exactly what you are trying to say but cannot say the word - genuine pain in the ...
The bad thing is that it happens a lot. People I talk to seem to understand so when I try and explain what I am trying to say they help out and seem to arrive at it after time. Its a pain in the butt! I just thought I would add this one if I had forgotten it because its a real douse. If it starts up then you have no choice to to try and explain what's going on and hope whoever you are talking to will hopefully understand.
