you're far too optimistic.
The reality is Trump may win outright, and if he doesn't, he has the infrastructure in place to ensure he wins by throwing out ballots, federal courts throwing out any suits objecting, including the SC, and finally he has the backup of Rep Johnson, totally in the tank for Trump, no matter how despicable Johnson finds Trump. Rep Johnson will not certify the election for Harris if she should miraculously win the vote count. In fact Rep Johnson is more than willing to not seat any Democrats which would affect the balance in the House, should the Democrats win a majority. The Democrats will have no choice but to file many suits which will end up in the SC. In my opinion, it is not likely enough justices will come to their senses and save the Democracy, but should it happen, there will be no process by which to enforce such an opinion.Rep Johnson will simply say "frak the court" Trump won.
We are frakked .... I see Democracy slowly drowning and there is no one there to throw a life preserver.
