optimism is nice but the reality is, or should I type, I believe, the American electorate is hugely stupid. Republicans have always, it seems, been magical thinkers. I talked with a Trumpist last night he told me Trump would make the economy great again and make prices come down. Since the economy is already better than when he left, he will take credit for what has happened in the last 4 years, and he can;t magically make prices go down. And that was only one aspect of the conversation. Yikes!!!!
