He finally got the tax cut in very late December 2017. Then in 2018, Trump initiated tariffs that harmed the American consumer and the American farmer. In fact, Trump had to compensated the American farmers for their losses. Trump’s policies became in effect in 2019 and 2020. 2020 is when the economy tanked.
