Looking at the number’s election day vs. today. Trump’s job approval vs. the percentage of votes received.

Trump approval and disapproval numbers almost exactly match those who voted for and against him. 49.2% approve, 49.8% voted for Trump, 47.8% disapprove, 48.3% voted against him or for Harris not counting those who voted against both by casting a ballot for a third-party candidate.

How about those who see Trump either favorably or unfavorably today vs. his vote total from November.

47.9% of all Americans have a favorable view of Trump, 49.8% voted for Trump, 48.7% view Trump unfavorably, 48.3% voted for Harris. Not quite as close as is Trump’s job approval/disapproval, but still very close to being about as close a match as one could expect to get.

It's a case of good news/bad news. The bad news is Trump hasn’t lost any support from November to today, after one month in office. The good news; Trump hasn’t gained any new support, he’s almost exactly where he was back on 5 Nov 2024. Everything Trump has done so far, it hasn’t increased or decreased his popularity or overall job approval. We’re just as evenly divided as a nation today when it comes to Trump as we were back on election day.

It's high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first instead of their political party. For way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.
