So far Trump still has to deal with the law and the law has not been kind to his efforts. He gets something, every now and then but not many. I think this will last until after 2026 and then its going to get a LOT worse.

The Democrats - sigh............ We all know what they, we, us, the kinda lefty, and absolutely lazy as hell, haters to a tee, and nobody seems willing to raise their hand. Its very strange. The Republicans are run by problems and the Democrats seem to be not run at all. I have no idea what they are going to do. I suspect that they should call for a huge everybody gathering, in the biggest place they can find and go at trying to get the Democrats together, in agreement, and willing to follow the guy who comes out in first place in such a gathering. I suspect all of Democrate Part/Lefties know what's needed, The Secret is to figure out who are those in charge and will they talk to each other, you know, stuff like that. Right now nobody has a clue and its gotta get fixed. If the Democrats think they are going to win something somebody should at least mention that there is a problem to fix before they can start. Right now I get mail, every day, from "Democrats". I have no real idea who they are, where the money goes, etc., etc. etc. We need a real Political Party, you know, the kind with a leader, and members who are more interested in winning than hating Republicans.

Enough I think - tried to say it several ways. Hope it helps............

Yeah, jgw. Every once in a while, I get those questionnaires from the democrats wanting to know what I think. But at the bottom is always the money box to check and send the questionnaire back with money. They go into the trash mainly because I don’t think they’re ever read, and my answers mean means nothing. But only the money does. I find the money trend interesting, since 2008 the democrats have raised more money than the republicans, at times more than a half billion dollars more. Mixed results as you can see below. Prior to 2016 it’s was the candidate that raised and spent the most money won the election going back to 1968.

2024 Harris 1.994 billion Trump 1.453 billion, Harris lost

2020 Biden 1.624 billion Trump 1.088 billion Biden won

2016 Clinton 1.191 billion Trump 646.8 million Clinton lost

2012 Obama 812 million Romney 628 million Obama won

2008 Obama 745 million McCain 368 million Obama won

My opinion is the democrats need to articulate to the public what they stand for, what they’re for in a positive way. Not that they’re just against, (hate) Trump, the negatives. Around a quarter of the electorate want a reason to vote for a candidate, not just against a candidate. The rest are pretty much set as to whole they’ll vote for regardless of who the candidates are. The difference is in both 2016 and 2024, were campaigns almost 100% negative against Trump, nothing positive about Clinton and or Harris as to giving the voter a reason to vote for them. Now in 2020, Biden had a campaign of bringing back sanity to government, normalcy to politics, bringing back the old ways of doing things through compromise and playing that old political game of give and take. 65% of independents wanted a candidate who would be willing to govern by compromise, Biden won these swing voters 54-41 over Trump. But in 2024, Harris came across as more rigid, less willing to compromise. Although much less rigid than Trump. She did win these swing voters 49-46 over Trump, but by only a 3-point margin whereas Biden won them by 13 points. She didn’t give the voters a reason to vote for her other than she wasn’t Trump. Biden gave those reasons to vote for him in 2020 along with the negative of not voting for Trump. Bottom line, you have to have a campaign of both, positive and negative, not all negative or against.

It's high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first instead of their political party. For way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

As far as I can tell the Democrats have absolutely no idea what to do. Most of the mail I get have to do is winning 3 ( think) replacements of Republicans that are running again. I get stuff from two Dem places (I think, not sure): Vote for Democratic Women and Progressives. I do not get anything from the Democratic Party which doesn't amaze me because, as far as I can tell, they have no idea what they are doing, what they are going to do, or even if they care. Its really kinda sad. One would think they would get off the dime.

The previous problem, with Harris, is that she was simply doing what she was told and little else. I have always thought she had more t0 say but was a Vice President and Vice Presidents actually do not much (well, except for the jackass vice president that Trump has who not only does what he is told but just adds a little bit of nonsense as well)

If you put it all together our nation is in deep, deep, trouble. I also think that there are a lot of people ready and willing if somebody stands up big time.

Agree jgw. I got a ton of e-mails last year from act blue and the mail portion asking for money came from the democratic party with their questionnaire. Harris as VP was tied lock, stock and barrel to Biden and his policies along with his very low job performance approval rating. She couldn’t tell the public what she’d do differently. She was asked but replied she wouldn’t do a thing differently which made her a defacto Biden running for reelection. Whatever Harris had said she do differently or proposed some new ideas, she would have accused of being disloyal. VP’s are well known, name recognition is high, but as far as having their own policies, ideas and solutions, forget it.

Who could become the face, the spokesman for the democrats? I don’t know. It seems no one is interested.

The problem is in raising the hand. I have been through it and, I suspect, thee too. There comes a time, however, when you just don't want to do all the thankless work and stop. I have no solutions for this one but the Democrats are in pathetic state and they gotta stop it and get on with it. I still think that the best thing they can do is to call the biggest meeting they can, boil down all the candidates and find folks ready and willing to take over get on with the necessary job.

I know, been a long time and folks, I suspect, are giving up. Pretty soon it will be the Republicans and all the rest.
