Perhaps that’s not needed. I’ve always said that a presidential election is a referendum on the sitting president, how the public views the job he had done over the last 4 years. Midterms are the same, a referendum on the sitting president over the first two years of his presidential term. Trump over the last two weeks has slid from a plurality of Americans approving the job he’s doing to a plurality disapproving. These things take time.

Come the midterms, most voters won’t be paying attention whether the democrats are in disarray or not. They’ll be focus on the Trump administration as that is what the midterms will be all about. A referendum on Trump’s first two years. All the democrats have to do is be there as an alternative.

It's high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first instead of their political party. For way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.
