Oil is Allah's gift to the Muslim people. Oil is necessary for the American economy to operate. There are people in America who believe it is our God given right to get all the oil we need because we are America. The energy barons apparently don't want to compete with foreign countries for the oil (what happened to all that capitalists BS) but would rather get the American government to go to war to control oil reserves in Iraq as a hedge against the possible fall of SA to Islamists and/or the increases in demand may be rising beyond what other Persian Gulf countries could supply. Those thinkers believe if America does not get the oil, America will become a second/third class country.

Does that make sense?
