As I recall, they did NOT stop the vote count... they simply gave it until later that night to complete, didn't they? Or do I remember that incorrectly?

One thing I've never understood... since they pretty much all agreed that the Florida vote in particular was particularly flawed, why didn't they just not certify the results? Florida could just have re-run the election, or do whatever they deemed necessary. It had happened before, with at least two states I think.
