sorry to be a dolt here, but...when roasting vegetables, how long does it take? Do you cover them?

Um....golly I don't have numbers. 375 for a bout a half hour to 45 mins. seems right. stick a fork in em when they start to look like they oughta be done or google around a bit for a few recipes to get exact figures.

That'll do it, Greger. You know, it's the age-old issue of trying to get everything to come off the stove at about the same time. Thanks.

If it's not working out, streeeeetch the salad course a little longer or add an appetizer, Keep a soup on hand if you really need more time. In the early courses keep the servings small and the conversation flowing until everything comes off the stove. You don't wanna fill em up before the entree.

more booze usually fills any holes between courses quite nicely

nothing finer than a main course served up with a Tenglasswine Sauce.

Emma, how did your stew turn out?

I'm making this recipe again this coming Thursday for some friends.

My stew turned out beautifully! It needed salt, but other than that, it was perfect. I wasn't sure how the mix of rutabagas, parsnips, butternut squash and carrots would work, but they all got along quite well. Thanks so much for the help!

Oops! I forgot to type: Add salt and pepper to taste at the end of the recipe.

It's there, I just neglected to type that. My fault.
