Rick, it's just not that easy for poor people in depressed countries (of OUR making btw) to get the relief they need. They are desperate to feed their children and have a better life.
Applying for and getting legal status here is hard and expensive for the poorest people.

My point in the above quote was, I don't believe it is the illegals that are in the streets advertising that they are illegal.
It has been my experience (where I live) that illegals are our best behaved and silent neighbors.
