I think we ought to remove the cruel laws making legal entry so hard and encourage people to come. America already has legal immigration policies that work, somewhat, just fine. The issue is that some choose to take matters into their own hands, and in doing so, they violate the laws of the United States of America. penalize the corporations for tax fraud and make them pay them a living wage I agree, but the conservatives won't. They'd label us Economic Marxists.

Rick, have you been to Miami in the past 30 or so years? Hundreds of thousands of immigrants...made legal by our screwed up system upon landing on our shores...you will be hard pressed to find any English spoken anywhere in South Florida.
Not to mention that there are damned few places for anyone to learn to speak English anyway.

Now to be fair Schlack, you need to differentiate between illegal and legal immigration. Just grouping all "immigrants" together isn't helping this issue. ***Breathe, relax. Breathe, relax.***

Why, Rick? Help me understand why you feel so strongly about this.

Just grouping all "immigrants" together isn't helping this issue. thats kinda my point Rick you might be able to neatly divide the illegal from the legal, the underserving from the deserving, but im quite sure mexcian families might have a different view. and also others dont always take the time, care, and attention to look at parades to make this division. do i need go delve the murky depths of the internet to find you some examples of how legal and illegal dont matter?

Why, Rick? Help me understand why you feel so strongly about this. Because the United States of America has an immigration policy. Granted, it may take years and years for the immigrant to migrate to the United States, but its a program and it works. Illegal immigrants cheat the system by taking cuts in front of immigrants that have waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, to migrate to the United States. Simply because one can walk across the border and take up residency is simply not fair to those who can not. As I've stated on another thread, it's all about justice, fairness and equality. There is no justice, fairness and equality when you cheat. There simply isn't. I can't be nice to cheaters. It's not in me.

Because the United States of America has an iraq occupying policy. Granted, it may take years and years for the US to reconcile Iraq to the United States occupation, but its a program and it works. i think youve been listening to too many Pundits my firend, youre beginning to sounds like the TV guys (no not THOSE tv guys!) Illegal immigrants cheat the system by taking cuts in front of immigrants that have waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, to migrate to the United States.

I can't be nice to cheaters. It's not in me. and if there were as free movement for people as there was for money, would there be this problem?
