Should any form of sanctions be applied to employee B for not following "the rules"? Let him stay - fine, but are there sanctions?

A few days ago I heard a program that mentioned Japan's attitude toward immigrant workers. It seems that mostly the do not allow such workers. I wonder who it is that does all the menial work there? I really do wonder.

Assuming we're talking about some sort of worker visa? Yes, there might be sanctions - a shorter period of time between renewals, maybe; if a path were to be opened for eventual citizenship, I would expect it to be more difficult.

That's just it -- it doesn't have to be all or nothing -- open borders or a wall. Life isn't black and white and neither are the answers to immigration.

Funny how elusive that simple truth has become - or maybe, always has been. I remember during the 70's particularly, there was such a great hue and cry about our poor America sliding down the slippery slope of relativism, the great lamentations over losing our black and white paradigm to shades of gray.

How easily it seems that the suggestion by I believe the majority of Congress that a pathway to documentation be devised that included sizable fines and significant investment of time and energy has been transformed into that nasty un-Christian concept of "amnesty".

I marched with Martin Luther King and Mitt Romney's dad in Hoboken in 1969 against illegal immigration, along with 10,000 first responders and the surviving members of my secret unit who spent 2 years serving undercover with me in Cambodia and Laos fighting the Taliban, the Cong, and leftover WW II Japs.

And I say we need to start to work immediately on setting up minefields and welcome ¡Bienvenidos! signs on the Southern Border.

Now if only we could find some people who would do this menial, dangerous work.
