Yes, very much like the altruism of communism and fascism which likewise propose that these arrangements are in the self interests of the societies that adopt them as a model of governance. The "issue" that many of us have with libertarianism, communism and fascism is that we are not convinced that these simplistic ideologies will produce the utopias they imagine.
