A lot of people don't know this but a tofu is actually a species of bird from New Guinea. For more years than I can remember PETA has invested large sums of money in tofu ranches in New Guinea while selling the idea that tofu is some kind of soy bean derivative to health food and animal rights freaks. It's worked. Millions of people the world over eat tons of tofu. But not the French. You won't find a piece of tofu in all of France. There is your PETA/French connection.
