As a moderator, let me add some reality.
When a person violates guidelines, they are given a chance to correct their mistake. If they refuse to do so, or if they are repeat offenders, they are by the guidelines subject to removal from Reader Rant. Any such action, however, is between the Moderator staff and that individual. They are always able to challenge the action or seek reinstatement.
Now, as an individual, I would not want such action discussed here after I am gone and can no longer comment upon it.
