When the movie "Titanic" first came out I refused to see it even though my absolute heartthrob (Kate Winslet) starred, because I had such a dismissive attitude about Leonardo de Caprio. Finally, two years later, I saw it on video. Whoo! Changed my view of The Cap, for sure.

Soon thereafter I saw "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" BOY was I wrong about Lovely Lenny!

When it comes to charitable giving, my faith community has a policy that I try to practice myself as well. We only donate money if we think our little donation could make a difference. Consequently, I give a lot more money to homeless people than I do to the Sierra Club.
