You're both right. In his mind, Huckabee probably believes he'll be offered the VP to "balance the ticket." In reality, however, Arkansas is where he belongs. I believe that McCain will offer Ruddy the VP.

The only political posters that I see in my tri-state area (FL, AL, GA) are for Ron Paul. I voted for Ron Paul in the primary and I'll write his name in if need be. Romney is a much better selection for traditional Republicans than McCain. I don't understand how a narcisist who sings songs about bombing Iran and was an also ran suddenly emerges to beat more electable candidates. Even with the hackers working overtime, Hillary will beat him.

Or Lieberman, there is a reason he is sniffing around McCain.

I'm sure you saw Lieberman standing directly behind McCain's mother in Phoenix last night. Very telling, IMO.

I hereby nominate Lieberman as V.P. to McCain. I think that they make a lovely couple.

We keep seeing Fla Gov Charlie Crist standing right behind McCain.

My tin foil hat tells me to watch out for more internet cables being mysteriously cut in the near future.

war cant happen now.

Russia has retaken its place as guarantor against US aggression.

i suspect other means will be used to derail Iran.

continued us backed terrorism against the iranians, strong arm economic tactics, e-war etc etc

Indeed, in a recent statement Russian President Putin declared that his country would defend its interests militarily if Iran was attacked by anyone. Veiled reference to Israel, yes, but the Bush Administration has already declared similarly with regards to Israel, and I'm sure that an Israeli attack against Iran would be interpreted by this Administration (and almost everyone in Congress except Cynthia McKinney) as "defending Israel's right to exist".

AND

Iran still has no internet connections with the rest of the world.

Steve, I wouldn't rely on that site to give a full picture of Internet connectivity to Iran. The traffic monitoring site is only pinging a single router in Iran, which very well may be off line for a variety of reasons. The beauty of the Internet is that a single outage is quickly and easily overcome by automatically routing around the inoperative site. I did some quick checking around the Web and it seems that most of Iran's Internet connections are and have been functioning with little or no interruptions.

Here's a rather comprehensive summary and discussion of the issue: Link
