Depends on the state but most 911 centers retain tapes for at least 90 days. First you'll have to determine the location of your 911 center.

You'll most likely need the work of a lawyer to get 911 tapes released - especially given your situation.

I was able to pull some strings as I've been getting a little involved with local politics. I got the transcripts but it doesn't stop there. I probably gave the impression that I'm paranoid and that I had overreacted.

I believe that my suspicions of local law enforcement are well founded though. Fortunately, it's been quiet around here lately but there was a time when there was a big police presence in my neighborhood.

When they prowl up and down my street at all hours of the morning and night, I can only speculate who they're watching out for. What's disturbing is I learned from a respectable neighbor that the police were recently in my backyard doing or looking for who knows what.

I don't appreciate that one bit! I'm a productive, functioning member of this little town. I've been a homeowner here for over nine years now. I don't engage nor do I intend to engage in criminal activity... Just your average, working stiff trying to take care of his wife and keep the bills paid.

If I am a "person of interest", I'd sure like to know what the hell for. Obviously, the phone thing was a fluke, the times they've been over for loud music was "my bad" but the constant patrolling and the lurking around in my backyard is little unsettling. I sure hope that I'm blowing this out of proportion.
