Imagine the above shoe worn with this skirt! ![[Linked Image from i48.photobucket.com]](http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/ca_rickf/AAAAAmP7dJoAAAAAAGKECw.jpg) ...and a solid black button down, long-sleeve blouse unbuttoned to expose her lacy black push-up bra. The Fox women newscasters almost look like their airbrushed on the TV screen. I'm not so sure that I've seen women on other networks wear pants.
Wait, on MSNBC...the weather lady, she wears pants.
Well...I believe that I've seen Katie Couric wear pants when she was on NBC Today show. I think even the newscaster, Ann Curry has worn pants before.
Hmmmm, this is starting to add up.
Julia, you're right...a lawsuit waiting in the wings.

Fox News does pick some, um...., attractive female newscasters. Exhibit A: ![[Linked Image from i48.photobucket.com]](http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/ca_rickf/Laura-Ingraham-Pic-1.jpg) Laura Ingraham ...like they'd want this one: Exhibit B: ![[Linked Image from i48.photobucket.com]](http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/ca_rickf/trippl.jpg)

she got to have the legs for television. Yeah, I forgot...that's what got Dan Rather the job. And Linda Ellerbee too, although she was only on news "magazines," not a big-desk nightly news show. maybe you miss my point. although there are some smart journalists on television, networks want looks. to be fair, men seem to have this rugged, chiseled thing going. even chris matthews seems to have undergone some sort of cosmetic change. it's about image. fox wants these women to project an image. they are appealing to a specific market - you can extrapolate from that - and therefore pay these women big bucks to project that image. No, I do understand your point. But they also claim - do they not? (I don't want fox) that they are hiring these women as journalists? If they're not making that claim, no problem. But if they are? As for wearing pants or not - until recently, anchors sat behind desks, and it didn't matter whether they wore long pants, short pants, or skirts.

May I present to you, Exhibit A in all of her glory: Laura Ingraham ...and unfortunately for Exhibit B, Linda Tripp, that's what she really looks like as well. ![[Linked Image from i48.photobucket.com]](http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/ca_rickf/Smilies/shrug.gif)

That's what Exhibit A really looks like. ahem how many hours in prep before a "performance"? not that shes not a cutie, but the perfection* one sees on the screen is a fabrication and getting back to the photoshop, the exhibit A pic was shopped to hell, and quite clumsily. even with my meagre skills I can certainly improve even Exhibit B, as you can see on the left, below. admittedly i didnt spend too much time on it, i got distracted by creating the 4K whore version.... (right hand side) *by perfection i mean the media stylised version, the barbie-like look so beloved of TV, movies and ad companies

The Demographics of the Cable News Audience
Who is watching Cable News? Over all, the typical cable news viewer is likely to be male and middle-aged (mean age of 48 years) with a college education.
There are some variations by channel. The average Fox News viewer is about 48 years old as well and earns a higher income, while the average CNN viewer is a year younger, and more likely to have a lower income. The MSNBC viewer is likely to be younger still, but with a better income than CNN. We provide a more complete profile of the cable news audience, and what the demographics might signify, in the Public Attitudes sub-chapter. the best and most simple answer is, SEX SELLS
sure, you can talk to god, but if you don't listen then what's the use? so, onward through the fog!
