Don't discount McGovern as a modern day Casandra.
To me, he's more like the boy who cried wolf. He's been predicting an imminent attack against Iran for at least four years.
I suspect that this Administration has been planning an imminent attack for the last 4 years. McGovern probably did see wolves. I don't know the guy, but I doubt that he's one of those who are paid to cry wolf and spread disinformation.
Why? Simple. Condi Rice articulated the reason very succinctly in a recent interview. It's because N. Korea already has The Bomb. That "changes the game," Rice said.
Also, probably because No. Korea doesn't have oil, either.
