Iss - yes, a female is free to purchase a condom as a male. However, while both are responsible, primary responsibility for proper use falls on the male. Responsibility for others is always so clear and clean cut. I believe I was suggesting responsibility for oneself, Phil.:-) But it is always hazardous to talk for others. Some men have difficulty getting an erection with a condom and whether you think that is a valid excuse or not doesn't matter -- those men will likely not use a rubber and will count on the woman for birth control. Just a couple of other monkey wrenches to throw in the mis here...what if a woman/girl is raped or forced to have an incestuous relationship that results in a pregnancy? And what if the female is a very young minor? To coerce(and there is no other term for it) them into permanent sterilization makes suffer punishment twice.
