ROFL, Snargle. Best laugh of the morning, and I've had a few.
Good points Ardy. I asked the question on another thread: how much is enough? I believe we have been indoctrinated, even brainwashed, as a society into constant lusting after more stuff, feeling personally inadequate if we don't have things - because long ago Madison Avenue figured out that's a surer way to sell things that simply on their merits.
I've noticed, over the years, that people who avoid commercial media have much less of this lust for stuff. For them - I should include myself and say "us" - there is still the notion that "less is more" and "live simply so others can simply live."
But boy are we a minority!
