I've been an advocate of a lesser population for some time now for the simple reason that resources are limited. I'm also an advocate of smart land-use and urban limit lines and open space which stop the encroachment of mega-cities into open areas. I cite the Los Angeles-San Diego corridor of Southern California as a mega-city encroachment into open spaces due to over population.
