Fantastic memory: Shortly after Plaza Suite opened in NY, I went to see it. SRO, so I stood. (Ah, the good old days.  ) From murmurs in the audience, everyone knew there was someone BIG attending. At the end of the first intermission I turned around and stared straight into Paul Newman's eyes. I was so stunned I didn't even look for his wife. One of those moments when I thought, "Okay. If I get hit by a taxi cab when I leave here, my life would have been fine."
