Nope.. Only reason I see why they voted "no" was because they were sacred that if this bill passed and they voted for it, then they would be out of a job in November.

think I saw a blurb on the news late last night - while the usual talking heads were picking over the carcass - indicating that only six (6) Republicans voting
NO! were in difficult elections this year. Further, I believe that the polls say the bail-out was strongly opposed in all of these districts.
I would like to see a chart or something showing how many of those that voted NO are up for re-election this year.
Unless the rules have changed quite recently, I think that you'll find that
all of the House is up for election every time.
Whatever the reason(s), I'm still appreciative of those who had the stones to oppose what was a really bad bill.
