WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell is talking to Connecticut independent Sen. Joe Lieberman about the possibility of Lieberman caucusing with the GOP.

Lieberman's affiliation with Democrats is up in the air. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada, angered by Lieberman's support of Republican John McCain for president, is considering yanking Lieberman's chairmanship of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee as punishment.

Get that slimy Lieberman out of all his positions within the senate and let him join the Republicans if that's what he wants. There is no way he'll win a re-election.

Here's my suggestion. Recruit Chris Shays to become a Democrat, then run him against Lieberman in 2012!

Damn, is Lieberman safe till 2012? I was hoping he'd be up for re-election in 2010 since he ran in 2006.

Maybe a recall? Or you can't have that with senators.

I think it would be lovely for Sen. Lieberman to caucus with the Republicans. He would drive them absolutely nuts with his liberal positions on social, economic, and environmental issues! That would be a much greater help to the Obama Administration than having him caucus with the choir.

Senate terms are six years. Connecticutt has no mechanism for recall. If it did, he would be retired already.

Can you picture Joe the Opportunist as the VP candidate on a Palin ticket in 2012?

you mean theyll be able to point to the sore thumb and shriek "we're inclusive"?

Well, inclusion has to start somewhere.
And you know the GOP will be looking to regroup and revamp.
