Steve, your friend is more generous than we were, we referred to it as "the armpit of the Midwest". I've never lived in a place that seemed to be disliked even by people who chose to stay there. When I would make fun of Evansville, it was never defended but usually elicited a simple "yep" from locals. It kind of took the fun out of being miserable. wink
