Now you, too, can own this special edition 2009 Sarah Palin calendar FREE!

In their mass email (yes I'm on their list blush), NewsMax described the calendar as "hot".

I admit, there does seem to be something vaguely sexual about that photo. Let's see if I can put my finger on it. Or, wrap my handmind around it. Hmm.

When was the last time we had a ticket with a "hot" Presidential candidate defeating a ticket with a "hot" Vice-Presidential candidate? Ever?

I wonder how many people cast their votes based on appearance this past election. I wonder how many remain enamored of Ms. Palin based primarily on her appearance.

Is this the new version of "who would you want to share a beer with"? -- "Which candidate would you want to go to bed with?"

Clearly I would not pick her. wink

OMG Sarah Palin is HOT?

Puuuulleeeze....Sarah Palin is PEGGY HILL.

And McCain is a close relative of Cotton Hill.

Let's face it, we just barely escaped putting a couple of King of the Hill characters in the White House, and now the same folks who said "MC Hammer is a good dancer"
(he's got a sand crab in his shorts!) are trying to tell us that Sarah is stroke material.

(with apologies to Bill Hicks and Lenny Bruce)

Perhaps it's my age or perhaps because I'm a woman, but I've never understood this "hot" thing as regards Sarah Palin. She reminds me so much of Katherine Harris -- two Barbie dolls. Is that what you men want? Geez.

Thanks Emma have been wanting to say something similar but being a man had some concern that it would be viewed through that misogyny lens that crops up here from time to time

ps am out of punctuation marks sorry

Attractiveness is in the eye of the beholder, and as such will vary from person to person. Since it came up frequently, there are obviously people who do, indeed, find Gov. Palin to be an attractive woman. I don't know that I find her "pinup" worthy, but she is certainly less fake "barbie"-ish than the hundreds of plastic surgeon addicted wannabe models, starlets, bored rich idiots, etc that infest the ranks of minor faux-celebrity-dom.

With the elections behind us (praise be!) I tried to look at the photo with a completely open mind as to "hotness." rolleyes

What I see is, I think, what I've seen all along - those lines at the corners of her mouth say "disciplinarian" to me (in the pic CS provided) -- and I just can't get into that.

I expect others might find it much more interesting; to me she's way too much one of those "women you'd be wise not to f*** with."

Sarah Palin is just a few ticks shy of her 15 minutes. Palin's celebrité will soon arc through the national spotlight like a chili dog through an old man's colon. She suffers from Katherine Harris disease, a political malady that seems to strike only attractive Republican women who cannot stop looking at themselves through a TV monitor.

People not caught up in Republican partisan pukery soon saw Sarah's one trick pony act and knew the circus was about to leave town and leave Sarah in the dimming spotlight. It did and it ain't coming back.

You're really getting a Sarah Palin calendar, Steve?
rolleyes

I don't know that I can be unbiased because of what I perceive her 'family values' to be.
Yes emphasis on perceive.

I know how many men and women both in the south have responded to her and I think she uses that 'weapon' and that bothers me when women do that.
I don't know, I get a Larry Craig type feeling from her.
Plus I think Tina Fey nailed her.
