Quote
Pinning down the reasons that rates have increased so widely isn't easy. Some blame a more sexualized culture and greater acceptance of births to unmarried women. Others say abstinence-only sex education and a possible de-emphasis on birth control may play a part. And just where abortion fits into the puzzle won't be known until late this year or early in 2010, when 2006 abortion data will become available from the New York City-based Guttmacher Institute, a nonprofit that has been tracking abortions since 1974. Government abortion statistics are based on voluntary state reports and do not include every state.

8 years of pushing "abstinance only" programs at work.

And reverses the drop that begin in the first Bush administration and continued through 8 years of the Clinton administration. Correlations are fascinating commentary on the wisdom of injecting religious teachings into reproductive counseling programs as a matter of government policy!

Sad, sad, sad: In most cases, unmarried teen pregnancy is announcing to the world that you were too stupid to manage birth control. Instead you are volunteering to end your childhood and enter a life of poverty and drudgery. Your child will not have the resources and parental support he or she could have had if you had just waited until you were in a financially and emotionally stabile relationship, before having children. You will have a hell of a time finding a suitable mate, and will probably have to settle for whatever you can get. You might even have to marry the son of a crack dealer! (Yes, Bristol, I'm talking to you. devil )

We need more of those classes where real teen mothers tell junior high school girls how bad their lives suck!

And yet, correlation is not causation.;-)

Why bring Bristol into it? Has she gotten into your or anyone else's face about unwed teen pregnancy?

Depends, Isso. Pregnancy doesn't equal marriage. Marriage doesn't equal best for parents and child.

Marriage is risky enough as it is. All of you out there who are married and have never been divorced and all of you who have never cheated on your spouse raise your hands. Wait while I count. Hmmmm, less than half of you have your hands up.

Marriage doesn't seem to be the second wrong that makes an unwed pregnancy right.

Not quite correct, sir, not necessarily, but very possibly, causation.

I suppose what you have stated is true, but in the absence of any context, I find your statement holds no meaning. Therefore, my only rational response is:

And yet, causation is not casualization
