I agree that Bristol was "brought into it" by her mother when said mother went on national television in the middle of a Presidential campaign and announced the out-of-wedlock teen pregnancy to the world, and placed it in the context of the cherished family values that lead to the decision to have the baby and the decision of the family to stand behind her as she delivered and raised the child.

She is a very public member of the teen birth rate increase and thus is a very good example to be used in discussion of the profound personal impact such a circumstance causes. It remains to be seen whether the public will bear the costs associated with Bristol's maternity bills and the child's pediatric and subsequent medical bills or whether Bristol and Levi will find a way to fund all of that themselves.
