Well, the long wait is over. Almost. In a perfect world he would be perp walked out of the White House with cameras flashing as he is loaded into a black SUV and whisked away at dawn. But this is a world where Donald John Trump was elected president. Things don't follow a logical sequence as we would expect them to. Maybe it's a result of climate change.

Before the report drops I'm gonna bet on "No Collusion". Because to even hope otherwise would set me up for another disappointment and, frankly, I've had enough of those.

For those who pooh pooh the Mueller Rpt, I suspect they have conflated a mostly uncorroborated Steele Dossier, no criminal charges having been filed with exoneration, and the proof is Steele .... no charges.

Collusion is not a legal construct, however when one sees the definition, we have

secret or illegal cooperation or conspiracy, especially in order to cheat or deceive others
Is this not what the Trump campaign was doing? Was it well documented by the Mueller Rpt? Then one should be able to reasonably conclude the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians. Was it an indictable legal offense? Nope, but it categorically characterizes the campaign as ... to use the legal term ... scumbags.

Had Trump not been the current occupant of the WH, he most likely would have been indicted for obstruction. I believe based on the Mueller Rpt, those indictments were sustainable.

edit: That is not to say Trump would have been convicted. I reasonably suspect any legal proceedings against The Don will result in acquittal by means of jury nullification. He has poisoned the very fabric of our country and Democracy.

We will be frakked for many years to come.

If they can get enough backbone to refer a 14th Amendment violation to the Justice Department for Trump, they don't even have to convict him of any crime. Just giving "aid or comfort" to insurrectionists is enough to be banned from elective office for life. That probably requires a federal judge to agree that happened, but any number of them would, since Trump's "aid or comfort" was quite public. I think such a ban would very quickly end a lot of this BS, since his supporters are much more Trumpers than Republicans.

There absolutely are, and most of them have gone silent now in case their guy goes to prison. Very few of them are dumb enough to jump onto a sinking ship. That's for Trump's cannon fodder, like all those January 6th insurrectionists, ambulance-chaser lawyers, and fake electors.
