I cannot say that I know any liberals who feel that way or are reacting that way.
It's not as if Congress is acting with any urgency to slow the Right's walk towards Fascism. Here at
Reader Rant, there are some liberals who think that Rightwingers need to be understood and reasoned with, that they're human beings with kind hearts and good intentions.
These liberal folks live in their white, male, heterosexual privilege. There's a reason why marginalized people are Democrats and align themselves with liberals. Someone who has never been marginalized just doesn't get it.
