It's not an insult to imply that Graham is gay, the INSULT is that, if he IS gay, he's a closeted self-loathing gay man which is a danger to EVERYONE gay and straight alike. The whole reason the "OUT" movement exists is because self-loathing closeted gay men do some pretty awful and vicious things to innocent people (gay AND straight) to compensate for their self-loathing. Witness J. Edgar Hoover, just as one example.
