This month is 10 years since I retired from the Army. Two days ago, I officially retired from being an attorney - I am now an "inactive" member of the bar association. I'm still not old enough to qualify for Medicare. I really retired at 55, which had been a life goal of mine, but I have been unable to really take advantage of that since COVID, and haven't ridden my motorcycles except to keep them "road ready" in about that same period (or slightly longer). My last "riding buddy", who is decades younger than me, no longer rides since a serious accident last year.

My passport has lapsed, but I am going to plan some world travel whether any of my family members decide to join me or not, as soon as I get it renewed. My younger son wants to go to Edinburgh and Dublin, and who am I to deny him that? wink
