jgw do you have thing to support your claim that "We have government spending more than virtually any other nation on this failed system of education."

One source disputes that Link

Phil;
Here are a couple of links which puts us at the top of spending. Nationmaster stats are all sourced and there are a LOT off them for education. You can actually research where we stand in just about any statistic you are interested in. Your link was as a percent of the gnp which is not an actual dollar amount. My claim was that we are spending more money/dollars (something between 7 and 8 grand per kid per year). I find all the statistics, however with interest and they are worth study.

I see, jgw. I think the relative figure is more telling for comparison purposes.

It doesn't matter how good your education system is, if the children have been conditioned by mass info-tainment to have corrupt values and zero attention-span and complete lack of focus.

All anyone needs to know is how to do their assigned task at work, use a credit card and fill out an online purchase order. Spending money to teach people anything beyond that is a waste of time, effort and (most damning) money.

I'm impressed with how many of you are willing to make excuses for what was done to these students for the benefit of the 'educators' and administrators.

Educators in Atlanta cheating scandal told quit or be fired

Quote
Dozens of Atlanta public school educators accused of cheating on standardized testing have until Wednesday to resign or be fired, local school officials said on Monday.

The city's interim school superintendent has given educators a three-day window starting on Monday to resign and avoid termination proceedings that will begin Thursday, Atlanta Public Schools spokesman Keith Bromery told Reuters.

A state report issued earlier this month identified 178 teachers and principals who cheated on state standardized testing in 2009 as a way to inflate student scores.

I, for one, am (as is every True American is) all for firing as many teachers as possible and applying more and more expectations on them. The utter collapse of "public schools" is the only way we can wrestle the souls of the next generation away from Statist, Collectivist, Progressive, Liberal, Fascist mind control.
