Scoutgal, I am so sorry about Monster. When I grieve for my wife I think of the many beloved pets we had over our 40 years of marriage and how deeply we morned their deaths together.

I now have Mac and Duff,the Westies she loved so much. She lives for me in them.

We lost one of our Jack Russell terriers back in September. The younger one (10 years old) had never been without his "sister" and was very depressed. A month ago we decided to get him a companion and the change in all of us has been dramatic.

Her name is Oolabee.

Here in my neighborhood there has been a several day outbreak of arsonist fire, 55 as of this morning, most involving a car set on fire in a carport under an apartment building. It has been rather scary to hear helicopters and sirens all night long.

a "person of interest" has been detained and i sure hope he is the idiot. If so, he puts a new twist on "illegal immigrants".
