The first time I met Donna, she met me at the Norms in Orange and she was sitting in the waiting area and her feet didn't touch the ground.

A very sad day indeed. Despite our occasional differences Donna was a good friend to me. She even came to my little town here in Florida to visit a few years ago. We spent many happy hours together on the phone swapping recipes and talking about food and cooking.

She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

I saw this early this morning on facebook. I was hoping when I came back this afternoon that I had read it wrong.
What a shock. I am very sad.
I met her when she came to Atlanta with Kathy Albers a few years ago. A dynamo in a tiny package. She'll be missed.

That explains a post of hers from not many days ago when I teased her for "sounding drunk" because of some uncharacteristic misspellings.

I loved her appreciation for bad puns...

I just learned the news. I am stunned. Donna and her loved one visited us here in our Blue Ridge Mountain home a few years ago and we had a great time. I didn't even know anything was wrong. Please let me know what I can do.

She had a list of health issues, diabetes, kidneys were shot, but she never ever complained. Dialysis for...I think...eight or nine years maybe.

She always maintained a positive outlook.

I just learned of Donna's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting her when they came to visit us in Virginia a few years ago and I'm at a loss for words. Please let me know what I can do.

I'm at a loss. BBL.

A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.

Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

It's so nice to see familiar faces on here. RR and CHB were such a big part of my life for so many years, until my own life just got crazier with all my husband's increasing medical needs and my slide into retirement. Even though I didn't stop by as often as I used to, the one constant was Donna. She somehow searched me out on FB, and was a constsnt presence with her family events and corny jokes. We shared an aniversary date...Feb. 20th. I'm headed for my 45th, as she was going towards her 35th. I will miss that little congratulatory greeting each year, just as I will miss everything about her. She was a constant reminder of the genuine goodness in people. RIP, Scoutgal...keep them laughing on the other side.

I was sitting in the car at the supermarket and randomly clicked on FB. The first thing I saw was a tribute to Donna. I was shocked. I couldn't bring myself to go into the store. Like all of you I loved her dearly. Funny thing is I never got to meet her. She and I would exchanged messages now and again and "like" photos etc. It's strange how someone can have an impact on your life, even in the virtual world. She was one of the first people I met on this site. Like Suzy, I'll miss those corny jokes on FB. Sad day.

sure, you can talk to god, but if you don't listen then what's the use? so, onward through the fog!
