ketchup or catsup?
which form do you use and does it matter?
Does your choice reflect individuality or the collective sentiment of a family or other social group?

Always been Ketchup in the Snargle household. Anyone attempting to pronounce the name of this condiment as "Cat-Sup" would have been laughed out of the dining room.

How about Heinz Chili Sauce or Lea & Perrins Steak Sauce on your burger for a changeup, then you folks won't have to fret over ketchup vs. catsup issues. : )
Modern ketchup is simply a highly sugared, red condiment with little character other than the fact it's quite "sweet".
I do realize that children and some adults might not go for my suggested alternates. Why so? They simply aren't sweet enough. /:|

I like straight Worcestershire Sauce and A1 too.  But this isn't about what tastes good! It's about what to call the stuff.  Geeez, man, can't you stay on topic!!!!?!!!!

Catsup? Do you mean Ketchup? I buy Heinz organic ketchup because the regular kind has corn syrup and the organic kind doesn't.
On my burger, I like mayo and ketchup.
On hot dogs, mustard only please.

I was believing the story until Judge Oscar Mayer got involved.  Eventually, the justices went back to the Batcave to deliberate. The Court was split 4-4 on strict taste-test lines. It was up to Burger to cast the deciding vote. Burger cast his vote in favor of maintaining the current double spelling practice. In his majority decision he quoted Benjamin Franklin, "It mattereth not how Ye chuse to spel particular Words in our language, Nay, what mattereth is that We calleth a spade a spade". Writing the dissenting opinion, Justice Felix Frankfurter noted: "That's stupid Burger! WTF?
