I know...I know... ...but I just gotta: So Sarah's previously under-aged daughter gives birth and the baby daddy is exiled from The Palin klan. Said baby daddy goes on a "I hate Sarah" TV junket. Now, a year later, under-aged daughter is now an adult, making PSAs about teen pregnancy, and the baby daddy and she are getting married. ...and oh! There's a TV reality show. Mom wants to know when the "shooting" begins... ...and mom does not give her blessing to said future nuptials. (Me thinks there's a double entendre for mom when she says "shoots."  )

Hong Kong at Dusk Place your cursor at the top of the photo. You will notice it is 6:10 PM. Bring the mouse down slowly over the photo without pressing the button on the mouse. Do not right or left click. Night time appears, the lights come on, and at 7:40 PM, it's dark! Time Lapse Photo technology at its best! Note the movement of the boats. LinkThat is very cool!

it is 105 F heat index in ChiTown, and even worse in the suden sodden suburbs. Unlike Vegas, tis a wet heat. But at least I'm not in Milwaukee. A huge, concentrated storm took a sharp left, and missed us. Parts of Milwaukee got more than 5 inches of water in less than three hours.
Hm. When Al Gore spoke of Global Climate change, he did not say that we would sense much higher temps, but rather, we'd see crazier, heavier, more frequent storms, of incredible intensity. So far, this year, he has been right.

That's so sad, Phil.
Unbelievable.
There was a young man at temple tonight...a visitor. He just graduated from the Navy Supply Corps School in Athens.
He announced that his class was the last class before the base closes down and relocates to RI as part of the base closings all over the country.
It has been in operation here since 1954.
Not that I had any special attachment to it but it is a landmark.
I'm not at all against closing military facilities but I'm struggling with why they are going to the expense of moving one that was so established.
I mean we've known for awhile that is was going to happen. The reality just shocked me a bit.
Lots of changes for me in the wind. I'm probably going to be moving sometime in the next year. Our condos aren't doing well. I think the hole might be too deep.

I think if the gay community focused more on the economic inequality rather than the word "marriage, progress would be made faster. Americans understand economic inequality, can identify with it and tend to want to be fair.
"Marriage" gives an opening for zealots to manipulate fears.
