LOL. I loved the first picture. Ah, Autumn in Florida, when it cools into the 80s and only hurricanes occasionally... <sigh>, I remember it well.... well, I remember it, I think.

Actually, that's my favorite time to visit, but I had to cancel my October trip (I was planning to look you up while I was there).

It is definitely acting fall-y here. Cooling off, morning rains, falling leaf (mostly evergreens), birds migrating through. I need to pick up my motorcycle from the shop, though. SO looking forward to riding in cooler weather.

A well reasoned argument is like a diamond: impervious to corruption and crystal clear - and infinitely rarer.

Here, as elsewhere, people are outraged at what feels like a rigged game -- an economy that won't respond, a democracy that won't listen, and a financial sector that holds all the cards. - Robert Reich

Fall came right on time with some cool breezy weather. I don't know if it actually dropped below 70 but there was a wind from the north and little whitecaps on the lake. There were jackets on the trail but the swimmers were unfazed. Acorns are dropping and I just noticed the top of the big sycamore across the street is drying out so those will be all over the place soon. I saw a handful of bluebirds this morning, don't know if they're residents or just here for the winter.

Steve Schale, a Florida election expert, recently noted, “Sometime before the end of this year, there will be more Republicans registered in Florida than Democrats” — which, he said, has never happened before.

This makes me a little sad. But the independents will still decide the election.

Dems and Reeps each have a little over 5 million, independents a little under 4 million registered voters.

How does that poor dog manage to get a round without a head?

Btw - I love “Autumn Leaves,” but I’ll raise you Ella.

Roscoe is pretty good about dodging photos, he's just got his head wedged between the balusters.

Mellow...I used Ella and Satchmo for the "Summertime" Roundtable. I thought when I saw that video it would be Chet singing it, fortunately it was instrumental so I used it. Like Satchmo, the singing gave him a break from playing trumpet and the damage it did to his lip.

I’m sorry I missed that, Greger. I think when I came back in, II tried to catch up a bit on several of the threads, but the Roundtable being of a more social nature, I probably didn’t get back that far. My apologies.

It’s just that, for reasons I’ve never really identified, “Autumn in New York” has been a favorite of mine for just about ever.

I see the Arizona Fraudit announced their results today: Biden actually gained votes and Trump lost votes! (I wonder if this has anything to do with the Justice Department investigating them?) The net result is that Maricopa County has to spend millions on new ballot counting hardware.

Nevertheless, Republicans are repeating this idiocy, or attempting to repeat it, in several more states.

I think the only positive result will be that Arizona Democrats get a nice juicy campaign issue for the next election. Maybe Democrats in those other states, as well. Wasting taxpayer millions chasing psychotic conspiracies may not sit well with Independent voters.
