Cool. As soon as there's any upturn in the economy, I approach Mr. humpreysmar. In the long, long run, it's cheaper, and I love the switch to audio feature.
I have been waiting and watching the battle between the Amazon Kindle and the
Sony Reader. Mostly, I'm waiting until the dust settles and there is just one standard for electronic books. (Remember beta vs vhs?) At the current price, I'm just not willing to take a chance on one or the other. I already have a closet-full of obsolete electronic gizmos.
Before buying a Kindle 2, read the
1 star reviews (particularly Gadget Queen) to decide if it's for you. It might be cheaper to pick up a Kindle 1 on ebay and see if you like the technology. Personally, I like the feel of a "real" book, and it never needs recharging.
