Got a pasta machine for last birthday and gave it an inaugural run today.
Marinated a flattened chicked breast in basil pesto with some extra lemon juice and black pepper. Pan fried, on top of homemade tagliatelle (tossed in the same) spinckled with crispy pancetta.
hoo-boy. a bit of work, but oh so worth it. I'm not usually pushed about pasta but this has converted me.
I made home-made pasta once. It was the best pasta I'd ever tasted. I too have the manual machine. It is a lot of work, the results are worth it.
