The GOP continues to embrace and welcome white nationalism into their ranks, by normalizing and mainstreaming white nationalism within today's GOP.

Last week, Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) fumbled some comments about white supremacy in the military. According to Tuberville, they're nothing more than Americans. Since then, he's tried to explain away the comments. First, he was asked how he defines a white nationalist. Tuberville was no able to - probably because he does not enough gray matter to do so. For Tuberville to not be able to come out and outright denounce white nationalism when he had the very clear opportunity to do so is not only cowardly but immoral.

When GOP'ers like Tuberville see other GOP'ers embracing white nationalism, it's hard for them not to embrace it as well. They see Donald Trump offering white nationalism for the working man; they see Ron DeSantis offering white nationalism for the country club crowd - both Trump and DeSantis' narratives are the same. So why not get on the white national bandwagon is the current GOP thinking.
