Since 1960 the candidate who raised and spent the most money has always won with one lone exception. 2016, That year Clinton raised and spent 1.191 billion, Trump 646.8 million. Interesting year, Clinton outspent Trump by almost a 2-1 margin and still lost. That may say more about Clinton than Trump. https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/graphics/2016-presidential-campaign-fundraising/Compare to 2020, Biden spent 1.624 billion to Trump’s 1.088 billion. https://www.opensecrets.org/2020-presidential-race2004 was the last time a republican candidate raised and spent the most money. The Democrats have had the most since or beginning in 2008 when Obama raised 760 million to McCain’s 280 million.
It's high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first instead of their political party. For way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.
